NICHOLAS T. MONTALTO received his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in Accounting
from St. John’s University. Soon after he became a Certified Public Accountant
and supervising auditor at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (KPMG). He later served as Controller of
Popular Science Publishing Company and finally served as Vice President and
General Counsel to D. L. Blair Corp.
In 1977 Mr.
Montalto earned his Juris Doctorate degree from St.
John’s
University School of Law, attending evenings. In law school he was awarded the
prestigious American Jurisprudence Award in Estate and Income Taxation and
graduated at the top of his graduating class.
Mr.
Montalto has been in private practice since 1972 in all phases of general
practice. for the last ten years he has concentrated
his practice in the area of Elder Law, Trust and Estates and Medicaid Issues.
He and the members of his law office have extensive experience in commercial
and real estate litigation as well as trial experience in all of the Federal
and State Courts of New York and an active member of the Richmond County Bar
Association.
Mr.
Montalto also has served as adjunct Professor of Law at St. John’s University,
Graduate School of Business Administration.
